***Much of the information on Christian Sternberg's family is taken from a chart compiled by Sadie Miller (daughter of Annie Sternberg Miller and grand-daughter of Christian Sternberg) in the late 1970's or early 80's. The names are probably correct, but I don't know how complete they are nor how accurate the dates are. Sadie's chart says that Christian came to Texas in 1851 through the Port of Galveston. She says he died of Bronchial Pneumonia after suffering a broken femur on Sept 3, 1926. This writer, Kaye Wykoff, has attempted to confirm and update this information through public records and speaking with family members at various Sternberg Family Reunions beginning in October of 1996. When the pieces of information could be verified, it is sourced and cited separately.12
